About Our Staff
All of Roomchang’s dentists practice general dentistry, meaning they are available and trained on all aspects of general dentistry. Many dentists have focused on specialties to obtain advance training in certain aspects of dentistry (i.e., implantology, periodontics, etc.)
Dr. Tith Hongyoeu, Director
Dr. Hongyoeu is the driving force and visionary of Roomchang Dental & Aesthetic Hospital, having joined forces with Dr. Ob Samon in 1996 to create a small dental practice and lay the foundation for what has become Cambodia’s largest and most prestigious dental center.
Dr. Tith was trained at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Health Sciences, graduating in 1995. He studied as a dental fellow in Malaysia from 1998 to 2000, when he also received advanced training and participated in a short-term fellowship in Frankfurt, Germany.
In 2003 Dr. Tith was awarded the prestigious certificate of oral implantology in Frankfurt as acknowledgment of his proficiency in the practice of dental implants. He has also attended countless seminars, conference and training initiatives worldwide, setting an example of lifelong learning for his staff. His model of advanced training for all staff has created a valuable pool of specialists, making expert care in all facets of dentistry available to all of Roomchang’s patients.
Though expert in implantology, Dr. Tith is a general practice dentist.
“I like to be involved in all aspects of dentistry so I can help modernize the dental industry in Cambodia,” he says. “Our wish is to provide one-stop dental services with reliable, competent dental care using cutting-edge technology.
Dr. Tith is highly motivated to improve the quality of the dental profession in Cambodia. Formerly dean of faculty of dentistry at the International University of Cambodia, he has created numerous training programs for dentists and dental students in Phnom Penh to upgrade the knowledge and standards of practice of dentists in Cambodia.
A pioneer in dental excellence, Dr. Tith’s experience and relationships throughout Southeast Asia has created a wealth of training and educational opportunities for Cambodian dentists.
Originally from Kampong Thom, Dr. Tith now lives in Phnom Penh.

Dr. Samon has been a cornerstone of Roomchang Dental & Aesthetic Hospital since its inception in 1996, having partnered with Dr. Tith to create the foundation of Cambodia’s premier dental practice.
Dr. Bunhean has been with Roomchang since 2004, having previously worked in another private clinic in Phnom Penh for three years.
A nine-year veteran of Roomchang, Dr. Kyhak joined the clinic in 2002. He has received training in endodontics, prosthodontics and restorative surgery in Malaysia, Singapore, Switzerland and Germany.
A graduate of the University of Health Science in Phnom Penh, Dr. Veasna has been associated with Roomchang for seven years. She served on the faculty of Mahidol University, Bangkok through an exchange program and has received additional training in the United States in progressive orthodontics. She has also attended training programs in Malaysia (esthetics) Switzerland (restorative) and Europe (Belgium and France.)
Dr. Bunhay has been on the staff of Roomchang for four years, having previously worked in the health department of Kompong Cham province and for three years at another private dental clinic in Phnom Penh.
Dr. Rithy joined Roomchang in early 2011, attracted to the clinic by Roomchang’s commitment to provide ongoing specialized training to its staff. A top graduate of the International University, Phnom Penh, Dr. Rithy participated in workshops in Malaysia, Vietnam and Laos in clinical research and aesthetic surgery.
Dr. Lov joined Roomchang in August of 2008, having completed his studies at the University of Health and Science (Phnom Penh). He has attended extensive training programs in Malaysia, Singapore and Germany and is a general practitioner at Roomchang.
Dr. Pheakdey has been on the staff at Roomchang for three years, having previously worked at another private clinic in Phnom Penh. A graduate of the University of Health and Science in Phnom Penh, he also studied at Mahidol University in Bangkok and has attended professional seminars in Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia. He has been a staff lecturer in general dentistry at the International University for three years.
Dr. Chanvuthy has been with Roomchang since 2010, training with Roomchang veteran Dr. Bunhean after graduating from the University of Health Sciences in 2009. A general practitioner, Dr. Chanvuthy specializes in general dental care, fillings and root canals.
Dr. Ratha joined Roomchang after graduating from the International University, Phnom Penh, in 2009. A general practitioner, Dr. Ratha enjoys working with patients who need ordodontics, root canals, crowns and fillings, and she especially enjoys the personalized attention each patient receives at Roomchang.
Dr. Callum has been a member of the Roomchang staff since 2007. A former private consultant in pediatric dentistry at Auckland Hospital, New Zealand and Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Dentistry in New Zealand, Dr. Collum was also the principal dental officer for school dental service in one region in New Zealand.
Ratana has worked at Roomchang since 2005, having joined Roomchang after graduating from the Technical School for Care of Physiotheraphy in Phnom Penh and working in a local hospital for two years.
Sophea joined Roomchang in 2008 after graduating from the International University, Phnom Penh. She also received ISO training at Roomchang.
Soneath joined Roomchang in 2004 as a receptionist, greeting patients and scheduling appointments. In 2006 she was promoted to Secretary General, responsible for general management of staff and facilities in addition to handling Roomchang’s accounting.
Mony has been with Roomchang since 2004, having trained at the International University in Phnom Penh. She also received ISO training at Roomchang.
A chairside dental assistant, Mony provides daily support to Roomchang’s dentists, often working with Dr. Samon.
Neary has considerable experience at Roomchang, having joined the institute in 2002 after training at the International University, Phnom Penh. She also received ISO training at Roomchang.
Having joined Roomchang since 2001, Ny brings a wealth of experience to her job as senior dental assistant. She was trained at the International University in Phnom Penh and also attended advanced training in Scotland. In addition to serving as a chairside assistant to Roomchang’s dentists, Ny is heavily involved in Roomchang’s ongoing staff training program, providing guidance, insight and knowledge to new staff.
Neang joined Roomchang in 1999, having trained at the International University, Phnom Penh. She also received ISO training at Roomchang as part of the clinic’s commitment to management quality excellence.
Reaksmey, who has worked for Roomchang since 2009, is the very public face and voice of the institute. Reaksmey and her colleagues ensure that every Roomchang patient is greeted with a cordial smile and friendly welcome.
An employee at Roomchang since 2004, Hong previously worked as a secretary in Phnom Penh. She has received customer service training and has benefited from a visit with a dental clinic in Singapore to see other dental clinics’ practices first-hand.
Moninita joined Roomchang in May of 2011 after working for eight years with the APSARA Authority in Siem Reap. In that role he was the first Cambodian to create an ISO management program, having been responsible for APSARA’s ISO 14001 program.
